The Real Business Challenge (RBC) is a national competition set by Cola-Cola European Partners (CCEP) for Year 9 students and this year the RBC is supporting Special Olympics Great Britain. There are three stages to this competition: in school-challenge, regional finals and Winners event.
Devonport high school for girls school is joins this competition every year and is achieves wonderful results. Last year’s group made it to the regional competition and in the previous year made it to the final Winner’s event.
Futures Entrepreneurship Centre and Plymouth Business School helped during the in-school challenge last week.
In the words of a business student ambassador Catherine North: It was lovely to see young people so engaged in this enterprise challenge, they came up with some great ideas. It was good for me as a student to put what I have learnt into context and help others widen their knowledge of the business world. They had a wide range of ideas, such as a pear shaped bottle, sourcing their materials from innovative ideas and came up with excellent branding names such as “rejuicinate”.
This year’s competition focus on promoting the Special Olympics.
I won’t reveal the student ideas to you yet and will use this opportunity to wish them good luck for the regional finals in February 2017.
