Soup at Plymouth Enterprise Week
As part of the host of great events happening during Plymouth Enterprise Week 2016 we thoroughly recommend visiting into the Rolle Marque on Friday 18th Nov for a warming bowl of soup, listen to students pitch thought provoking business ideas and vote for your favorite!
At the fifth Soup event in September we saw Josh Playle, founder of Conclient Ltd win by a landslide and minutes later graduate from Plymouth University in the marquee next door. It was a true celebration of what Soup set out to be – supporting an early stage start-up by putting them in front of an audience who supported their idea and voted to crowdfund them, you can find out more about Josh’s experience here.
Josh will be one of our guests at the next Soup event to be held on Friday 18th November as part of Plymouth Enterprise Week and we’d like to invite you to be there too. As you may know there are a myriad of workshops, support sessions, lectures and networking events happening over the week, hosted by Plymouth University. Soup marks the end of this week and is an opportunity for everyone who has taken part to come together, socialise and reflect on a fantastic series of events.
We’ll see four entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas to a room of real life dragons: you, the audience. Over your soup lunch you’ll pick your favourite and once the audience has voted the winning pitcher will be announced. The winner receives all of the takings from the ticket sales plus a package of business support to help them on their journey, in this way the audience effectively crowdfunds the winning business.
Soup takes place on the 18th November, 12.30 – 2pm in the Rolle Marquee on the Plymouth University campus. Tickets are £5 for which you receive a soup lunch and most importantly your vote for your favourite pitcher, all proceeds of your ticket will got to the winning pitcher to support their business venture. For more information and to secure your ticket please visit our Soup webpage. For Plymouth Enterprise Week, a full list of the activities which are open to the public as well as students and staff of Plymouth University can be found here.
We look forward to seeing you there!
